Icelandic Audio Transcription, Quality Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iceland.

📋 Description

• Listen to audio recordings and create accurate, verbatim transcriptions in Icelandic.

• Capture not just the content of the speech, but also the manner in which it is delivered (including filler words, repetitions, and false starts).

• Add speaker labels for recordings with multiple speakers (2–8 participants).

• Insert precise timestamps for text segments (with an accuracy of within 500ms).

• Annotate non-speech events such as laughter, background noise, or unclear audio.

• Adhere to detailed project guidelines and uphold high-quality standards.

• Maintain consistent productivity and reliability throughout the project.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Icelandic, including knowledge of regional accents and informal speech.

• Strong listening skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to produce verbatim transcriptions, including stutters, repetitions, and filler words.

• Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is a plus.

• Comfortable with using browser-based tools.

• A reliable internet connection is necessary.

• Access to a laptop or desktop computer (mobile devices are not supported).

• Consistent availability for 20+ hours per week.
