This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Evaluate hydraulic data, encompassing sewer flow records, system diagrams, wastewater treatment documentation, rainfall statistics, pump station information, real-time data, and other relevant details.

• Generate data and reports for clients.

• Cultivate an understanding of the analytical process, sensor fundamentals, and standard field monitor installations.

• Examine data for calibration, trends, patterns, and anomalies through graphical and statistical methods.

• Process and prepare data for review and audits in accordance with standard procedures.

• Engage in an on-site visit to a flow monitor site alongside an experienced field team.

• Detect data issues and propose solutions for ongoing challenges.

• Interact with field personnel, technicians, colleagues, engineers, and managers both in person and remotely.

• Execute data maintenance tasks such as backup, archiving, restoration, combination, and segmentation.

• Support the preparation of final reports and deliver timely, professional outcomes.

• Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

• Complete or assist in special projects as necessary.

• Occasionally travel to assist with specific projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• A BA/BS in an environmental or civil engineering-related discipline is preferred; degrees focused on mathematics or physical sciences are also acceptable.

• A combination of relevant diploma, applicable work experience, and strong communication abilities is acceptable.

• Familiarity with ADS product lines, services, and software is beneficial.

• Knowledge of databases or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is advantageous.

• A professional designation as an engineering or applied science technologist through ASTTBC, ASET, OACETT, or a similar body is a plus.

• Excellent mathematical and analytical reasoning skills.

• Understanding of hydraulic principles, particularly in open-channel flow measurement and calculations.

• Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-driven with a demonstrated ability to work independently.

• Capacity to recognize personal limits and proactively seek assistance.

• Must be capable of completing an on-site visit to a field project.

• Occasional travel may be necessary.

• Position starts part-time at 30 hours/week, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time at 40 hours/week.
