Hybrid Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee virtual cloud server infrastructures within hybrid settings (both on-premises and cloud).

• Sustain and enhance virtualization platforms.

• Collaborate with various teams to provision, maintain, and scale cloud resources effectively.

• Diagnose issues and conduct root cause analysis.

• Operate within a DEVSECOPS framework.

• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation processes.

• Set up and maintain monitoring tools.

• Implement security best practices to safeguard hybrid cloud infrastructures.

• Offer tier-2/3 support for escalated technical issues.

• Mentor junior engineers to foster their professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret Clearance.

• Certification: Must possess an active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+).

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in hybrid cloud environments.

• Proficient in virtualization technologies, including VMware, Hyper-V, or OpenStack.

• Strong understanding of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and firewalls.

• Working knowledge of DevSecOps principles and practices.
