HW Design Data Migration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and manage solutions for the migration of hardware design data within intricate semiconductor hardware design settings.

• Establish, configure, and validate temporary mitigation or transition systems for hardware design data (e.g., EDA data management or configuration management systems).

• Formulate data migration concepts and strategies for transitions between various hardware design data management, configuration management, and lifecycle systems (e.g., from legacy platforms to contemporary PLM/IPLM or version control solutions).

• Plan, execute, and validate export and import procedures utilizing sample, test, and production data.

• Define and document data topologies, vault/repository structures, data paths, mappings, and inventories.

• Develop, review, and validate migration and automation scripts, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and completeness.

• Provide support for server-side and hardware design infrastructure configurations, toolchain, and EDA integrations (e.g., Cadence-based environments / DFII).

• Collaborate closely with engineering, IT, and infrastructure teams, contributing to testing, reviews, documentation, and end-user readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• Professional experience in hardware design data management, hardware configuration management, or engineering data migration.

• Significant hands-on experience with EDA-related data management and version control systems, such as DesignSync, Perforce Helix Core / IPLM, or similar tools.

• Extensive experience with complex hardware design data structures, particularly in analog/mixed-signal design environments.

• Strong coding and testing abilities to automate data migration and validate data correctness and integrity.

• Knowledge of vault concepts, data topologies, and hardware design infrastructures.

• Proficient communication skills in English.
