HV/LV Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of high voltage (HV) equipment.

• Interpret electrical schematics and documentation.

• Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting.

• Perform mechanical modifications and repairs.

• Complete assessment and documentation reports.

• Installation, testing, and commissioning of substations.

• Setup and modification of AC/DC wiring and earthing systems.

• Evaluate safety and implement necessary controls and measures.

• Prepare RAMS, job packs, test certificates, and reports.

• Promote a safe working environment during high and low voltage operations.

• Ensure all tasks are completed according to the standards, policies, and procedures set by Lucy Electric and its clients.

• Maintain authorizations in line with legal safety regulations and industry best practices.

• Collaborate closely with the team to understand and prioritize tasks.

• Participate in training and continuous professional development as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification in electrical safety at work.

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and their practical applications.

• Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.

• Technically qualified through a BTEC, C&G, or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.

• Possess a full driver's license with a willingness to travel and work weekends as needed, with potential for a day off during the week.

• Valid authorizations for Private Networks, UKPN, SSEN, and WPD.

• Demonstrated experience in the electrical and/or distribution industry.
