This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee and implement the testing and commissioning of the HVDC Valve Cooling and Mechanical and Building Services Systems.
• Coordinate with the Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure the timely provision of necessary data for the preparation of site work (specifications, designs, BOQs, material lists, etc.).
• Evaluate the architecture and drawings of the Valve Cooling Sub-system & Auxiliary System.
• Assess the interfaces between these systems and third-party systems, including the GEV eLumina HVDC Control.
• Develop and maintain commissioning documentation such as Programs, Procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Checklists, etc., for HVDC Valve Cooling & Auxiliary Systems.
• Plan schedules, prepare staffing plans, manage site team mobilization, and monitor actuals against the plan for this scope.
• Conduct, manage, and assist in functional testing of Building Management Systems (BMS), Mechanical Auxiliary Systems, and the HVDC Valve Cooling System.
• Provide regular updates to the Site Commissioning Manager and serve as the primary contact for the testing and commissioning of HVDC Valve Cooling & Auxiliary systems, including the management of the commissioning engineering team within this scope.
• Generate test reports and ensure the completion of all relevant quality documentation.
• Guarantee that all Testing & Commissioning activities are conducted in compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• A completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, energy technology, or a related qualification.
• Proven knowledge and experience in the commissioning of components such as cooling systems, HVAC, building management systems, and automation systems.
• Basic understanding of the elements and interfaces of electrical substations or HVDC Systems.
• Strong health and safety mindset in alignment with international standards, with the capability to identify and halt unsafe work practices.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, interlocking logic, and communication schemes.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
• Willingness to work on construction sites in Germany and internationally, with optional assignments on offshore platforms.
• German driver's license class B or its equivalent.
