HVAC/Refrigeration Project Manager – Retail, Grocery Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate multi-site projects, encompassing equipment installation, system retrofits, and maintenance programs within operational stores.

• Act as the main client-facing representative for project scopes.

• Serve as the owner's representative, facilitating communication between franchisees, general contractors, architects, and vendors.

• Track project advancement to ensure that schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are met.

• Evaluate construction documents, scopes of work, and contractor proposals.

• Handle change orders, budgets, invoicing, and financial reporting.

• Lead the completion of punch lists and manage project closeout procedures.

• Deliver regular project updates and engage in proactive risk management.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in construction project management.

• Background in retail and/or grocery sectors, especially within active, operational stores.

• Experience in managing multi-site rollout or program-based construction projects.

• Excellent client-facing communication skills with the capability to influence and establish trust.

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects at once in a dynamic environment.

• Robust knowledge of construction management software such as Procore, Smartsheet, Buildertrend, or equivalent tools.
