HVAC Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

📋 Description

• Service and maintain commercial HVAC systems in telecom shelters at cell tower locations.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and replace components of cooling systems as well as complete systems.

• Conduct performance evaluations and routine maintenance on HVAC equipment.

• Carry out additional maintenance or upgrades on HVAC systems that are out of season.

• Respond swiftly to service requests, including emergency situations.

• Accurately complete daily work reports in a timely manner.

• Safely and legally operate and maintain a motor vehicle.

• Work independently, requiring extensive daily travel and occasional overnight stays.

• Provide service at remote work locations and perform outdoor tasks.

• Responsibilities may adapt based on business and client requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Level 2 or Universal EPA Certification is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, with a preference for commercial experience.

• Basic understanding of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems, is preferred.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.

• Candidates must reside within 60 miles of Pierre, South Dakota.

• Availability for occasional after-hours and weekend service calls is essential.

• Compliance with OSHA, FCC, FAA, and EPA standards is mandatory.

• Must successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.

• Ability to safely and legally drive a motor vehicle.

• Must be able to travel extensively each day and reach remote job sites.

• Capacity to work outdoors in varying ambient temperatures.

• Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
