This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Accountable for the effective, efficient, and timely provision of the Company’s services to various clients within a designated geographical area.
• Provided with a company van and tools, the role involves traveling to multiple customer locations for the maintenance of commercial properties.
• Conduct preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and servicing of commercial HVAC systems.
• Execute tests and analyze data to ensure optimal equipment performance and offer recommendations as necessary.
• Carry out comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services on all standard package and split unit HVAC systems prevalent among EFO’s light commercial customers.
• Perform general repairs on steam/hot water boiler systems.
• Safely diagnose and resolve common mechanical, electrical, or system failure issues in standard boiler, package, and split unit HVAC systems.
• Conduct minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems.
• Execute routine painting, carpentry work, etc., as needed to keep our Client’s facilities in pristine condition.
• Undertake minor electrical maintenance within the boundaries of state law requirements.
• Perform service inspections and asset inspections as necessary.
• Foster a positive relationship with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining timely, consistent communication with both customers and internal support teams.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned or required.
• High School diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care is preferred.
• Possession of a certified 2-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license.
• At least 5 years of HVAC/General Maintenance experience, which includes electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• HVAC experience working with Industrial/commercial type HVAC equipment/systems as required by the scope.
• Must have applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must hold an EPA Universal Refrigeration License.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, including safety policies, operating and maintenance guidelines, and procedure manuals.
• Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.
