Hungarian Language Lead – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Supervise Hungarian language projects, ensuring linguistic quality and uniformity across diverse content types.

• Review daily QA reports generated in WordsOnline to detect errors attributed to each linguist.

• Perform live checks in WordsOnline to assess linguists’ performance during their tasks.

• Facilitate monthly quality review calls or ad hoc assessments with Production and Quality teams based on KPIs.

• Issue warnings to linguists and suggest blocking, removing, or adding linguists based on their performance, in collaboration with the Production team.

• Address linguistic inquiries.

• Assist in onboarding new customers.

• Provide training for new linguists.

• Conduct discussions with linguists regarding specific concerns.

• Contribute to enhancements of linguistic instructions and reference materials.

• Oversee terminology and glossaries.

• Compile reports and performance evaluations.

• Engage in daily production projects, including MTPE, translation, and revision activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Translation/Localization.

• Demonstrated experience in localization project management or language lead roles.

• Native-level fluency in Hungarian.

• Strong command of English, with an excellent grasp of grammar, style, and cultural nuances.

• Experience with technical and marketing content; familiarity with IT/software content is a significant advantage.

• Comprehensive understanding of localization best practices and tools.

• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote team setting.
