This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
β’ Collaborate with our Employer of Record (EOR) vendor to assist Porch's workforce in Colombia throughout the entire employee lifecycle and ensure synchronization between EOR records and Workday.
β’ Ensure that HR operations in Colombia are in alignment with the Corporate HR strategy by working closely with the HRBP team, Contingent Workforce Operations, HR Operations, and other HR centers of excellence (COEs).
β’ Act as the main contact for local employee relations matters.
β’ Facilitate communication between management and employees by addressing requests, grievances, or other issues in collaboration with the HRBP team and the EOR.
β’ Provide guidance on compliance with Colombian labor law β including the Substantive Labor Code (CΓ³digo Sustantivo del Trabajo) β in conjunction with the EOR vendor and Legal team.
β’ Keep abreast of regulatory changes and alert relevant parties to updates affecting Porch's workforce in Colombia.
β’ Create and sustain HR procedures, practices, and policy guidance for Porch's workforce in Colombia, working within the framework of the EOR relationship and contributing to a local reference for our team.
β’ Assist in workplace investigations and disciplinary and termination processes in collaboration with the HRBP team, Legal, and the EOR β including overseeing probation period considerations under Colombian law (two-month statutory maximum).
β’ Collaborate with the Head of Employee Experience and HRBPs to support leaders in strategic organizational design and restructuring.
β’ Contribute to recruitment initiatives by assisting hiring leaders and the corporate Talent Acquisition team, including tailoring job descriptions.
β’ Partner with the HRBP team and managers on performance management β advocating for the annual and mid-year review cycles and supporting performance improvement plans as necessary.
β’ Facilitate manager and employee self-service in Workday and the EOR platform; provide training as required.
β’ Monitor, track, and document compliance with both mandatory and optional training and continuing education.
β’ Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, utilizing EOR resources and adhering to Colombian legal requirements.
β’ Serve as a culture advocate β fostering a positive work atmosphere, championing Porch's values, and enhancing employee engagement through effective communication and relationship-building.
β’ Address audit requests as necessary.
β’ Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
β’ At least 8+ years of progressive experience in human resources management.
β’ Solid understanding of Colombian labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, including the Substantive Labor Code is mandatory.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
β’ Experience working with or alongside an Employer of Record (EOR) is advantageous.
β’ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and across various countries and time zones.
β’ Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Workday is a plus.
β’ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly across U.S. time zones.
β’ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
