This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Act as the senior escalation contact for intricate, high-risk, or legally sensitive workplace investigations.
β’ Conduct interviews with key individuals, assess complex documentation, evaluate legal risks, and create detailed investigation reports with actionable solutions.
β’ Advise departmental leaders on high-risk corrective measures, delicate performance management, and involuntary terminations.
β’ Monitor intricate employee relations patterns and implement focused preventative training and intervention strategies.
β’ Serve as the primary HR liaison for directors and managers within designated operational departments.
β’ Mentor department leaders on effective communication, conflict resolution, team culture, and employee accountability.
β’ Convert workforce data into retention and engagement strategies.
β’ Assist with headcount planning, organizational updates, and identifying succession risks.
β’ Navigate complex accommodation requests, resolve interactive process deadlocks, and address overlapping CFRA/FMLA/PDL/ADA leave scenarios.
β’ Assess undue hardship issues and legal risks related to accommodations.
β’ Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and healthcare regulatory standards.
β’ Draft, update, and review HR policies, procedures, operating practices, and compliance documentation.
β’ Lead cross-functional HR initiatives and strategic projects through enterprise-wide implementation.
β’ Facilitate organizational changes, process enhancements, and program executions.
β’ Streamline HR workflows, enhance service delivery, and modernize departmental tools.
β’ Act as a senior technical and functional advisor for HR team members.
β’ Review complex employee documentation, notices, and correspondence.
β’ Assist in the training and development of the wider HR operational team.
β’ Must be based in California.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Over 6 years of progressive HR experience in a senior Generalist or HRBP role.
β’ Extensive technical knowledge of California employment laws, high-risk workplace investigations, and compliance standards.
β’ Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex workplace investigations and mentor department leaders.
β’ Advanced expertise with HRIS platforms; Paycom is preferred.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace.
β’ Outstanding communication, analytical, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
β’ Experience in a startup or rapidly growing environment is preferred.
β’ Experience in the healthcare sector is desirable.
β’ Professional HR certification such as SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent is preferred.
