This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Human Resources Associate will report directly to the president of the company and manage human resource functions for a government contractor that is a 150-employee women-owned small business.

• Responsibilities encompass hiring and terminations, administration and selection of employee benefits, research on federal and multi-state employment laws, as well as tracking and ensuring compliance.

• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to establish suitable processes, payments, and reporting mechanisms to maintain ongoing compliance.

• Ensure adherence to pay transparency regulations, last paycheck laws, pay data reporting, EITC notifications, and more.

• Partner with OAI’s insurance broker to choose appropriate benefit plans.

• Address employee inquiries concerning leave accommodations, benefits, workplace matters, and injuries.

• Monitor requirements, prepare, and submit various reports including EEOC, VETS, PCORI, 5500, OEWS, OSHA, among others.

• Assess employee training needs, prepare, or curate training materials as necessary.

• Oversee and report on HR procedures that involve legal obligations.

• Revise, enhance, and update the Employee Manual and any other essential or beneficial company policies as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, social sciences, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with federal and state labor laws.

• Capability to generate customized reports and prepare both statistical and narrative documentation.

• Organizational abilities that facilitate tracking and meeting specific deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Background in various HR functions.

• Provide support for Business Development as necessary.

• Proficient writing skills.

• Experience with project management software (Unanet) and payroll software (ADP).

• Certifications such as PHR/SPHR are a plus.
