This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assisting with a diverse array of projects for both private and governmental clients across the U.S. and internationally.
• Conducting human health risk assessments following regulatory guidelines and specific project directives.
• Creating Risk Assessment Work Plans and playing a role in the development of Sampling and Analysis Plans/Quality Assurance Project Plans.
• Effectively collaborating with internal project teams and overseeing the work of junior staff.
• Producing technical deliverables, which include writing reports and performing/reviewing risk assessment calculations using R software.
• Keeping updated on federal and state regulations and guidance documents relevant to conducting risk assessments.
• Ensuring that work quality, quantity, and efficiency meet or exceed company standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree along with four years of pertinent experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A valid Driver's license.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the work.
• The successful candidate must pass a background check and a motor vehicle records check.
• A Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in evaluating PFAS, PCBs, and lead.
• Background in performing human health risk assessments within an environmental consulting context.
• Familiarity with environmental statistics, such as USEPA ProUCL.
• Experience related to Department of Defense projects.
• Strong expertise in using R software.
• Practical knowledge of USEPA Risk Assessment Guidance for Superfund (RAGS).
• Experience in conducting vapor intrusion assessments.
• Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
