This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Assisting in a diverse array of projects for both private and governmental clients across the U.S. and internationally.
• Conducting human health risk assessments in line with regulatory standards and specific project work plans.
• Creating Risk Assessment Work Plans and aiding in the development of Sampling and Analysis Plans/Quality Assurance Project Plans.
• Effectively coordinating with internal project teams, including the delegation of tasks to junior staff members.
• Producing technical deliverables; this includes composing reports and executing/reviewing risk assessment calculations utilizing R software.
• Keeping up-to-date with federal and state regulations and guidance documents pertinent to conducting risk assessments.
• Ensuring work quality, quantity, and efficiency meet or exceed company standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree accompanied by four years of relevant experience or a proven equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A valid Driver's license.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandated due to the nature of the work.
• The successful candidate must pass a background check and motor vehicle records check.
• A Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in evaluating PFAS, PCBs, and lead is preferred.
• Background in conducting human health risk assessments within an environmental consulting environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with environmental statistics (e.g., USEPA ProUCL) is preferred.
• Experience working on Department of Defense projects is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in running R software is preferred.
• Applied knowledge of USEPA Risk Assessment Guidance for Superfund (RAGS) is preferred.
• Experience in conducting vapor intrusion assessments is preferred.
• Exceptional technical writing and communication skills are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred.
