This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Sustain and routinely refresh safety management systems and compliance platforms, including ISNetworld and Contractor Compliance.

• Supervise health and safety initiatives throughout the LTL Group of Companies.

• Review, revise, and disseminate the LTL Safety Manual, along with health and safety policies, procedures, and documentation.

• Guide, mentor, and oversee the Safety Team.

• Preside over the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).

• Organize hazard identification and near-miss reporting processes, including facilitation, documentation, and follow-up actions.

• Handle documentation and correspondence related to WSIB claims.

• Maintain an inventory of HSE supplies, including procurement and tracking activities.

• Gather, assess, and report on HSE performance data, safety goals, targets, and KPIs.

• Facilitate the delivery and monitoring of health and safety orientation and training for new hires.

• Assist supervisors with training on necessary documentation, including JSA’s, FLHA’s, and inspections.

• Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and occupational illnesses; compile reports and enforce corrective and preventive measures.

• Ensure compliance with the LTL Quality Management System and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Propel advancements in the company’s HSE program and processes.

• Champion efforts towards achieving and sustaining COR.


⛳️ Requirements

• Mid-level experience.

• Understanding of health and safety legislation and relevant regulations.

• Experience in managing safety management systems and compliance platforms such as ISNetworld and Contractor Compliance.

• Capability to lead, mentor, and manage a Safety Team.

• Capacity to chair a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).

• Familiarity with hazard identification and near-miss reporting processes.

• Experience in managing WSIB claims documentation and correspondence.

• Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and reporting HSE performance data and KPIs.

• Ability to support health and safety orientation and training programs.

• Knowledge of JSA’s, FLHA’s, inspections, and associated safety documentation.

• Competence in leading investigations into incidents, near misses, and occupational illnesses.

• Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and implement corrective and preventive measures.

• Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement practices.

• Capability to lead efforts towards achieving and maintaining COR.
