This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise site activities related to the installation and commissioning of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and associated equipment.
• Aid the Erector in the installation of HRSG components, such as piping and auxiliary systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
• Interpret sketches and drawings for construction, ensuring the installation of pressure parts, equipment, modules, and piping aligns with specified requirements and installation sequence.
• Review and confirm that HRSG installation method statements are crafted safely and effectively.
• Report any commercial and technical deviations accompanied by quality records/non-conformance reports (NCR) and follow up until these issues are resolved.
• Ensure that all necessary documents, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPL), reports, and quality documentation, are supplied by subcontractors/partners during system turnover certification.
• Assist in resolving technical issues with GE Vernova engineering by utilizing reporting system tools, such as submitting Engineering Request (ER) cases for site installation clarification.
• Review welding documentation, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welder qualifications, before the initiation of welding activities.
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols for heavy lifting operations during the installation of HRSG components.
• Evaluate lifting plans proposed by installation companies, taking into account site constraints and conditions.
• Ensure that HRSG piping installation and testing are performed according to project specifications.
• Oversee the execution of HRSG hydrotests and ensure that preservation measures are established following hydrotest completion.
• Validate that cleaning methodologies, chemical cleaning processes, and safety valve settings meet the required specifications.
• Ensure that waste disposal, including test media, complies with local environmental standards.
• Identify and resolve site interferences during installation and testing phases across various disciplines.
• Provide progress reports to the Construction Manager, Site Manager, and TK/SI Installation Leader.
• Prepare and conduct HRSG tests, performance tests, and reliability runs.
• Utilize Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for system checks.
• Support the setup and testing of instrumentation and logical checks (e.g., pressure and temperature transmitters, vibration detectors, position switches).
• This position necessitates some experience in Project Management, Construction, and Commissioning.
• Knowledge level should be equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with 0-3 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
• Advanced Problem-Solving Skills: Able to promptly identify issues and create innovative solutions to tackle challenges.
• Strong Interpersonal and Leadership Abilities: Capable of leading teams with confidence, promoting collaboration, and motivating team members to achieve shared objectives.
• Must be available for long-term assignments (100%) at construction sites within the US.
