This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Act as a reliable advisor to business leaders regarding personnel-related issues.
• Assess workforce trends and metrics to pinpoint opportunities and implement solutions that align with business objectives.
• Champion organizational development, team effectiveness, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Work in collaboration with Enterprise Centers of Excellence to design, execute, and assess HR programs.
• Acquire extensive knowledge of the Education & Research Industry and the designated business unit to offer strategic guidance.
• Manage annual HR processes, including performance management, talent assessment, development planning, and compensation planning.
• Stay informed about employment laws and HR compliance obligations.
• Analyze issues, patterns, and trends to deliver proactive HR insights and solutions.
• Collaborate with the HR Strategy Leader and business leaders on personnel-related matters.
• Provide tactical support for everyday business operations.
• Be a vital member of the business unit leadership team, facilitating employee integration, development, engagement, and retention.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, business, or a related field.
• Previous experience in management consulting or the professional services industry is highly preferred.
• At least 7+ years of progressive HR experience; global experience is a plus.
• Self-driven and entrepreneurial with a strong sense of independence.
• Strong business acumen, communication skills, and executive presence.
• Experience leading projects with backing from senior leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to collaborate across geographies, functions, and levels with a global perspective.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Familiarity with HRIS technology applications, including Workday.
• Proven ability to utilize AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot for HR workflows, workforce data analysis, policy creation, job architecture, and employee communication.
• Strong analytical skills with a history of transforming data into actionable insights.
• Experience with data visualization is advantageous.
• Background in a matrixed organization, large corporate environment, or professional services organization.
