
HR Payroll Coordinator – 16 Months Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of HR - Vantive Canada.
• Accountable for executing various HR functions such as payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding of new employees, and providing front-line HR support.
• Ensure accurate processing and management of payroll for approximately 200 employees, while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare and distribute paychecks, maintain payroll records, and resolve any payroll-related discrepancies or issues.
• Oversee employee benefits programs, which include health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, which involves conducting orientation sessions and assisting with the completion of necessary paperwork.
• Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and industry-standard practices.
• Remain informed on relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate HRIS data and collaborate with global centers of excellence as necessary.
• Engage in other projects as required.
• College Diploma in HR Management, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, ideally with a focus on payroll, benefits, or HR.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Effective interpersonal skills; ability to project a professional image and credibility; teamwork-oriented, flexible, and inclusive.
• Proven track record of managing confidential and sensitive information.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
• Certification as a Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).
• Experience in the health care, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry is a plus.
• Experience in a global organization is preferred.
• Prior experience with Dayforce or Workday is an advantage.
