This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee daily HR operations for team members based in the Philippines and working remotely.
• Take charge of the payroll process for employees based in the Philippines.
• Gather, assess, and verify timesheets, attendance logs, leave records, and payroll data.
• Calculate regular wages, overtime, night differential, holiday pay, bonuses, deductions, allowances, leave adjustments, and final pay.
• Generate payroll summaries, payroll reports, and payment-ready payroll files for review and authorization.
• Collaborate with leadership, accounting, bookkeeping, banking partners, payroll providers, or external compliance partners as necessary.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with Philippine statutory benefits and government regulations, including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR-related payroll documentation, 13th month pay, holiday pay, overtime pay, night differential pay, leave entitlements, and other pertinent requirements.
• Maintain precise payroll records, employee files, contracts, HR documents, organizational charts, and compliance records.
• Manage employee onboarding, orientation, documentation, regularization tracking, and offboarding processes.
• Provide support for employee relations, workplace issues, policy guidance, and internal HR assistance.
• Ensure HR policies, contracts, and procedures are in accordance with applicable Philippine labor laws and employment standards.
• Monitor attendance, leave, regularization dates, changes in employment status, performance review timelines, and HR compliance deadlines.
• Prepare and sustain HR and payroll reports for leadership review.
• Assist with performance evaluations, employee development documentation, corrective action documentation, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Evaluate and enhance HR workflows, payroll processes, templates, contracts, handbooks, checklists, and internal policies.
• Ensure confidentiality, precision, and proper management of sensitive employee, payroll, and company information.
• Stay informed about Philippine labor laws, payroll compliance, statutory contribution updates, wage orders, and government reporting obligations.
• Propose process enhancements that minimize manual tasks, prevent payroll errors, improve documentation, and streamline HR operations for both management and employees.
• At least 5 years of experience in HR, payroll, people operations, or HR compliance.
• In-depth understanding of Philippine labor laws, employment standards, payroll regulations, and statutory benefits.
• Practical experience in managing or coordinating payroll in the Philippines.
• Familiarity with SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR payroll-related requirements, 13th month pay, holiday pay, overtime, night differential, leave credits, final pay, and employment documentation.
• Experience in managing employee onboarding, employee relations, HR records, contracts, regularization, offboarding, and performance documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to handle confidential information.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Experience working with finance, bookkeeping, accounting, payroll providers, banking partners, or government compliance partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Accounting, or a related field.
• HR, payroll, or compliance certifications are advantageous.
• Experience in supporting remote, BPO, staffing, outsourcing, or international teams is highly preferred.
• Proficient English communication skills are required.
