This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily HR operations and provide support to employees
• Act as a reliable resource for employees and managers regarding HR inquiries and procedures
• Handle promotions, transfers, compensation adjustments, status modifications, and other personnel changes
• Keep precise employee records and documentation
• Create, document, and enhance HR processes and standard operating procedures
• Manage the complete payroll process, ensuring payroll is accurate and timely
• Review wages, deductions, bonuses, commissions, PTO, employee modifications, and adjustments
• Address payroll tax notices, issues, reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
• Oversee benefits, PTO, leave, and employee time-off programs
• Maintain benefit and leave records, and assist with open enrollment
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across various states
• Track changes in employment regulations and manage registrations, notices, and documentation
• Assist with audits and compliance evaluations
• Administer HRIS and related People systems, including data management, workflows, permissions, and updates
• Utilize HR data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements
• Oversee administrative onboarding and offboarding procedures
• Coordinate employee changes and terminations across diverse systems and vendors
• Manage workers' compensation claims, audits, renewals, and documentation
• Handle administrative tasks related to the company's 401(k) plan
• Collaborate closely with the Director of People, Chief People Officer, leadership, providers, vendors, and external advisors
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in HR
• Strong knowledge of multi-state employment compliance
• Extensive understanding of payroll processing, payroll taxes, deductions, and liabilities
• Experience in administering benefits, PTO/leave, workers' compensation, and retirement plans
• Proficient in HRIS with confidence in managing employee data and workflows
• Experience in conducting audits, reconciliations, and meeting compliance requirements
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Capable of handling confidential and sensitive employee information with care
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions
• Process-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous process improvement
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing company where processes are continuously evolving
• Experience supporting multiple companies, entities, or business lines (preferred)
• Background in a high-growth or startup environment (preferred)
• Experience working with remote teams across different states (preferred)
• Familiarity with Rippling or a comparable HRIS (preferred)
• Administration of benefits, including enrollments, changes, eligibility, and terminations
• PTO, leave, and other employee time-off programs
