HR Consultant – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, assess, and enhance HR policies, employee handbooks, procedures, forms, communications, and compliance-related documentation.

• Assist with employment law and HR compliance initiatives, including ADA, FMLA, wage and hour regulations, employee classifications, workplace behavior, and associated HR policy issues.

• Execute HR evaluations, job description audits, employment classification analyses, compensation benchmarking, pay equity assessments, and other HR due diligence initiatives.

• Conduct external workplace investigations, encompassing document examination, interviews, analysis, findings, and report preparation.

• Create, develop, and deliver HR training sessions, webinars, manager toolkits, employee development resources, and related educational materials.

• Generate HR process documentation, including performance management workflows, onboarding resources, employee communication templates, and implementation guides.

• Engage in client meetings, calls, and presentations as necessary.

• Compile deliverables, reports, recommendations, and status updates for Blackwell HR and its clients.

• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all client, company, and project-related communications and materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree and over 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources as a Generalist is mandatory.

• Proven track record in developing and executing HR programs, policies, processes, and client-facing HR deliverables.

• Capacity to handle both tactical and strategic aspects of the HR function.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Capability to engage confidently with C-Suite and VP-level stakeholders.

• Competence in providing strategic counsel and guidance to clients.

• Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

• Strong business acumen and sound decision-making based on organizational needs and objectives.

• Availability to maintain reasonable working hours during standard U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

• Preferred experience in organizational development, leadership development, mergers and acquisitions, coaching, workforce planning, succession planning, mission/vision/values development, employer branding, culture, or behavior-based workplace initiatives.
