Host, Field Producer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify documentary families from the Legacy Farmer’s client network.

• Establish a cold pipeline of podcast guests nationwide.

• Cultivate authentic trust with farm families prior to filming.

• Conduct candid and sincere on-camera documentary and podcast interviews.

• Navigate conversation dynamics, assess the atmosphere, and reveal genuine stories.

• Serve as an ambassador for the Saving the American Farmer brand across documentaries, podcasts, social media, and live events.

• Collaborate with leadership to shape the format, rhythm, and editorial direction.

• Adhere to a rigorous content release schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the United States.

• Remote work with availability during Central time hours.

• Willingness to travel 35–55 days annually, primarily driving to rural areas.

• Strong, genuine background in agriculture: either raised on a farm, married into agriculture, or possessing 10+ years of experience in the agriculture sector.

• Proven experience in interviewing, storytelling, hosting, or producing content for podcasts, videos, or live events.

• A video outlining why you are a suitable candidate is required.

• Samples of your work are mandatory.

• A pre-existing audience or established presence in agricultural media is preferred.

• Strong story and editorial instincts in the editing room is preferred.

• Existing connections with farm families across various states are preferred.

• Comfort with live stage hosting is preferred.

• Working knowledge of farm financials is preferred.

• Degrees in journalism, broadcast experience, and backgrounds in AgTech/SaaS are not mandatory.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States, as verified by participation in E-Verify.
