This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Supervise the functioning and scheduled maintenance of all hospital infrastructure systems and equipment aboard the ship.

• Establish maintenance priorities and assist in the planning of spare parts for critical hospital systems.

• Offer technical support to onboard maintenance teams for managing defects, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.

• Coordinate and supervise external contractors, service providers, and manufacturers.

• Create and manage service requests, work reports, and spare parts procurement within the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).

• Execute annual hospital inspections on each vessel in line with Company procedures.

• Gain familiarity with the Rules and Regulations of marine Classification Societies.

• Attend the vessel's annual maintenance periods (AMP) to assist in planned work and significant repairs during hospital downtimes.

• Maintain a working knowledge of the Company Safety Management System (SMS).

• Develop, review, and continuously enhance SMS procedures related to hospital operations.

• Prepare comprehensive maintenance instructions, operational procedures, and scopes of work.

• Review maintenance reports provided by onboard teams to ensure precision and stay informed about equipment conditions and performance.

• Identify and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to enhance processes.

• Plan and manage modifications to infrastructure, including replacements and upgrades, in accordance with the Company's change management procedures.

• Support hospital operations by ensuring that infrastructure complies with infection control standards.

• Ensure that maintenance activities and installations adhere to relevant medical and marine regulatory standards.

• Lead regular technical meetings with onboard hospital maintenance teams and coordinate with medical staff as necessary.

• Assist People and Culture (P&C) in evaluating candidates for technical roles in the hospital, as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A four-year degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.

• A minimum of four years of experience working in operations and maintenance within a hospital or healthcare facility.

• Professional Engineer's license, STCW Regulation III/2 certification, or equivalent is preferred.

• Strong working knowledge of relevant codes and standards related to hospital infrastructure, including medical gas systems, electrical isolation systems, and essential power supplies. Familiarity with marine codes is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Experience in the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical building services (HVAC, piping systems, water systems, etc.) as they pertain to hospital systems.

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, defect management, and contractor coordination.

• Knowledge of planned maintenance systems (PMS) and maintenance reporting processes.

• Ability to develop procedures, technical documentation, and scopes of work.

• Strong understanding of safety management principles and risk assessment processes.

• Comfortable with learning new software platforms and proficient in spreadsheet and word processing applications.
