This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Professionally and efficiently manage a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls.
• Conduct patient intake and gather essential demographic, medical, and referral details.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Direct calls, messages, and requests to the relevant family members, clinicians, or departments.
• Prioritize and handle urgent communication requirements.
• Collaborate with referral sources, patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Accurately document all communications within the EMR system.
• Assist with hospice admission processes and intake coordination.
• Ensure confidentiality and maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Provide weekend coverage as necessary.
• Prior experience in healthcare, hospice, home health, medical office, or as a medical virtual assistant.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience managing high-volume inbound and outbound calls.
• Familiarity with patient intake processes and insurance eligibility verification.
• Capacity to remain calm, professional, and compassionate during sensitive emotional situations.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional work environment.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, adaptable, and proactive.
• Nursing background is highly preferred.
• Experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred.
• Proficient in using Axxess EMR.
• Knowledge of Salesforce, Slack, WhatsApp, Skype, and other similar communication platforms.
