This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather input from the sales team to create original designs and proposals.
• Convert designs into functional systems ready for installation.
• Generate plans, drawings, elevations, and other necessary installation documentation.
• Collaborate with Design and Sales departments to realize the intended vision and functionality.
• Specify requirements from other trades and relay them to the Project Manager.
• Innovate solutions while adhering to budget and product constraints.
• Participate in weekly design meetings and integrate engineering feedback.
• Review sales orders, product lists, and elevations with sales personnel, PMs, and programmers.
• Update project documentation, proposals, and change orders using job management software.
• Suggest products for bench testing and demonstrations.
• Engage with vendors and industry experts regarding equipment and engineering challenges.
• Provide remote assistance to field technicians.
• Occasionally travel to job sites to observe systems in operation.
• Train or relay essential information to field technicians.
• Manage assigned assets and properties with responsibility.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to high-profile, high-demand clients.
• Safeguard client confidentiality and network/home security.
• Comply with state and federal laws, including traffic regulations.
• Comprehensive understanding of all AV systems, with specific expertise in lighting and shade control.
• Capability to read and create house plans, elevations, lighting diagrams, and related documentation.
• Commitment to ongoing education on all systems, particularly focused on lighting and shading control.
• Essential knowledge of residential lighting control system design, load types, panelized vs. distributed architecture, keypad specification, and integration fundamentals.
• Required expertise in motorized shade systems, covering power planning, basic fabric selection, control integration, and specification standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.
• Basic knowledge of AV systems is preferred.
• Basic understanding of residential networking fundamentals is preferred.
• Preferred experience in lighting fixture specification and load calculation.
• Familiarity with D-Tools SI is preferred.
• Familiarity with Lutron, Crestron, Control4, or Savant lighting control platforms is preferred.
• Technical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
• Willingness to accommodate customer needs outside of regular working hours.
• Capability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Valid in-state driver's license, a clean driving record, and a criminal background check.
• Ability to engage with high-profile and high-demand clients.
• Must adhere to relevant state and federal laws.
