Home-Based Accounting Specialist – General Ledger

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• This position is dedicated to enhancing the accuracy, efficiency, and automation of daily, weekly, and monthly processes through the use of tools such as NetSuite, Excel, Smartsheet, and emerging AI technologies.

• Acquire a working knowledge of the Procure to Pay Process, which includes vendor bill entries, vendor statement reconciliation, and weekly vendor payment procedures.

• Oversee daily accounting operations in a dynamic environment, manage month-end close activities, and perform account reconciliations.

• Evaluate operating trends as reflected in the monthly Income Statement, KPIs, and scorecards.

• Aid in the creation and upkeep of a month-end close checklist.

• Work in conjunction with the Accounting Supervisor and Controller to optimize processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related area.

• 2-5 years of experience in AP/AR and/or General Accounting, or equivalent experience.

• Excellent verbal, written, and English communication abilities.

• Willingness to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or align with US operating hours.

• Proficiency in various Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting/ERP software, particularly NetSuite.

• Strong expertise in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or other related applications.

• Comprehensive understanding of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and account reconciliation processes.

• Commitment to maintaining high accuracy in financial records and attention to detail in all job aspects.

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively to meet payment deadlines.

• Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is advantageous, but not mandatory.
