This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Collaborate with the Customer Team to comprehend and pinpoint customer requirements
• Assist in executing activities related to customer strategy
• Deliver product information in relevant and meaningful formats to individual customers
• Tailor discussions and client interactions according to customer requirements
• Participate in knowledgeable product discussions with healthcare professional customers
• Serve as the main point of contact for designated customer accounts
• Meet with key customers and personnel to gain insights into practice structure, business models, influencers, network frameworks, and needs
• Recognize business opportunities
• Coordinate customer strategies and account relationship plans
• Share insights and best practices gained from customer interactions
• Provide feedback on resource allocation decisions
• Choose programs and services from available resources to meet customer needs
• Maintain and disseminate up-to-date account and market information
• Implement all phases of the sales process for Virology products
• Position Virology products against competitors utilizing approved resources
• Analyze market trends and propose proactive business strategies
• Pose strategic inquiries regarding healthcare needs and leverage insights to formulate tailored strategies
• Manage the Virology product portfolio through segmentation, targeting, analysis, and execution
• Explain the complexities of the HIV payer environment and delineate stakeholder roles
• Develop and implement account plans
• Collaborate with members of the Virology Account Team and cross-functional stakeholders on long-term solutions
• Oversee customer interactions and territory activities involving both Virology and non-Virology stakeholders
• Cultivate relationships with hard-to-reach customers in a no-sample environment
• Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant laws
• Cover the Manhattan, New York territory as a field-based sales representative
• Bachelor’s Degree with 2-6 years of sales experience OR a high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of equivalent experience
• Valid Driver's license
• At least two years of experience in account management or sales with Infectious Disease customers preferred
• Preferred experience with HIV products and/or product launches
• Strong clinical acumen and a background with large hospital institutions
• Specialty sales experience across various specialty markets preferred
• Background in pharma, biotech, or medical device sales
• Experience in developing and executing customer engagement strategies
• Proven track record in establishing, nurturing, and maintaining relationships
• Experience in highly regulated sectors or compliance-critical environments
• Account experience within complex hospital systems, teaching institutions, and community hospitals
• Proficiency in identifying account interdependencies and building stakeholder partnerships
• Familiarity with complex payer environments and pharmacy stakeholders
• Experience engaging with scientific thought leaders and developing advocates
• Ability to develop customer relationships in challenging-to-access or no-sampling settings
• Strong business acumen and account management capabilities
• Demonstrated leadership, planning, organization, self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to communicate complex information
• Adherence to ethics, integrity, and the capability to work within a highly compliant environment
