This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Offer operational guidance and system support for Health Information Management (HIM) in the designated region.
• Develop, design, implement, support, and maintain the assigned applications.
• Enforce HIM standards to fulfill business requirements through implementation, maintenance, and support.
• Lead the identification of requirements for document management workflows and standards.
• Recognize opportunities for process improvements and create innovative solutions using data analysis.
• Examine and document user requirements, procedures, and issues to enhance or automate systems and workflows.
• Evaluate system capabilities, workflows, and constraints.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses based on operational metrics and reports.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, prioritize, and address ServiceNow tickets, chats, emails, and phone inquiries.
• Record tickets and respond promptly in accordance with service level agreements.
• Document workflows, configuration/build activities, adherence to change management, end-user notifications, training materials, and status reports.
• Innovate, design, implement, support, and sustain workflows, processes, and HIM-identified tasks.
• Collaborate with clinical, nonclinical, and technical support teams to pinpoint system requirements and enhancement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with Health Information Management standards.
• Proven experience in technical HIM or HIM Information Management is required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet usage, and email is necessary.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Willingness to travel is required.
• An associate degree in Health Information Technology or a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related healthcare field from an accredited institution is preferred.
• RHIT/RHIA certification is preferred.
• Educational qualifications will be verified.
• Ability to sit for extended periods is necessary.
• Manual dexterity to handle complex and delicate equipment accurately and precisely.
• Frequent engagement with computers, phones, and cable setup and use is expected.
• Ability to communicate verbally and to hear and comprehend spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
• For roles requiring driving, the ability to operate a vehicle and interpret signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles is necessary.
