This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Efficiently upload and categorize external records using relevant software, directing documentation to clinicians as necessary.
• Create or select the appropriate patient, encounter, and/or order while assigning the correct document type and description in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Integrate both internal and external clinical documentation from electronic and physical sources via work queues, rounding, eDelivery, or importing into the EHR.
• Review medical records to identify any missing documentation and signatures.
• Assign and modify medical record deficiencies by the responsible provider within the chart management system.
• Offer support and training to clinicians regarding record completion processes.
• Collaborate with Data Integrity and various functional areas to report documentation errors for chart rectification.
• Alert appropriate leadership for quality assessments and privacy investigations.
• Ensure scanned documents are clear, legible, appropriately positioned, and easily readable by end users.
• Act as a point of contact for record completion assistance for clinicians and other healthcare providers.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Generally requires 0-1 years of experience in the healthcare sector.
• Proficient in computer skills and keyboarding.
• Capability to learn Epic, OnBase, Solarity, Microsoft Office, legacy archives, Teams, and various electronic communication and meeting platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
• Capacity to work independently and make decisions with minimal oversight while upholding quality and productivity standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse team setting.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and capability to switch tasks while maintaining quality and precision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Competence in safeguarding protected health information (PHI) and a basic understanding of HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and hand movements in a standard office environment.
