This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Accurately input and categorize external records utilizing relevant software, directing documentation to clinicians as necessary.

• Create or select the appropriate patient, encounter, and/or order, assigning the correct document type and description within the EHR.

• Integrate both internal and external clinical documentation from electronic and paper sources into the EHR through work queues, rounding, eDelivery, or importing.

• Achieve established benchmarks for quality, accuracy, and productivity.

• Review medical records for missing documentation and signatures.

• Assign or amend medical record deficiencies by the responsible provider within the chart management system.

• Offer support and training to clinicians regarding record completion tasks.

• Collaborate with Data Integrity and other functional areas on chart corrections.

• Inform appropriate leadership for quality review and privacy investigations.

• Ensure scanned documents are clear, legible, accurately positioned, and readable.

• Act as a point of contact for record completion support for clinicians and other providers.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.

• Generally requires 0-1 years of experience in the healthcare field.

• Proficient in computer and keyboarding skills.

• Capacity to learn Epic, OnBase, Solarity, Microsoft Office, legacy archives, Teams, and electronic communication and meeting platforms.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Capability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision while adhering to quality and productivity standards.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.

• Adaptability to a fast-paced setting and ability to switch tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.

• Willingness to accept constructive feedback and take personal responsibility for success.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to protect confidential health information and possess basic knowledge of HIPAA.

• Capability to perform repetitive functions and hand movements.

• No licensure, registration, or certification required.
