This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Drive and enhance sales with targeted and strategic Higher Education accounts.
• Utilize existing relationships within Higher Education to foster new business development.
• Perform market analysis to identify key customer targets.
• Formulate and execute strategic plans to meet sales objectives in the designated territory.
• Establish and nurture relationships with partners in large Higher Education institutions to influence design standards and projects for both direct and indirect sales opportunities.
• Create strategies for capital expenditures and operational priorities that align with customers’ ESG objectives.
• Employ state procurement contracts and other sales tools to boost equipment sales.
• Manage Higher Education sales activities and resources within sales channels in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with local Carrier Commercial Sales, Service, and Controls teams on sales strategies that enhance Carrier’s competitive advantage.
• Monitor project activities using salesforce.com.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales or strategic account management experience, demonstrating a proven ability to manage large, complex customer relationships.
• Must be willing to travel regularly within the assigned territory for customer meetings, industry events, and internal collaboration sessions.
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a talent for identifying, prioritizing, and pursuing high-potential growth opportunities.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level building automation and controls systems.
• Proven success in selling solutions based on a financial value proposition, including life-cycle cost analysis and total cost of ownership.
• Technical proficiency in applied HVAC systems design and solution development.
• Working knowledge of Higher Education procurement practices, including state, cooperative, and institutional purchasing agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively engaging both external customers and cross-functional internal teams (sales, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing).
• High initiative, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership, with the ability to act urgently in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional follow-up and execution skills, ensuring commitments are honored and opportunities are advanced.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to prioritize competing demands while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with equipment, service, and controls teams.
• Customer-centric mindset with a steadfast commitment to service excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
