This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Drive Sales Growth
• Achieve or surpass revenue and subscription goals within the designated territory by enhancing the use of Pearson’s digital, print, and service offerings across assigned accounts
• Establish and sustain a strong pipeline of competitive opportunities utilizing market intelligence, customer insights, and disciplined sales strategies
• Foster the adoption of subscription-based and Inclusive Access solutions that enhance student affordability and access
• Implement key sales cycles, such as back-to-school campaigns, to boost student engagement and increase market share
• Build Customer Relationships
• Cultivate trusted relationships with faculty, department heads, and institutional stakeholders by comprehending their instructional objectives and challenges
• Engage clients through virtual meetings, phone, and email using consultative selling strategies to identify needs and propose customized solutions
• Provide presentations, product demonstrations, and student-focused technology training that facilitate successful adoption
• Collaborate with campus bookstores and administrators to optimize sales and ensure successful implementation
• Execute with Discipline and Collaboration
• Work closely with Account Executives, Customer Success, subject matter experts, and operations teams to support opportunities at both program-wide and institution-wide levels
• Keep precise pipeline management and forecasting using Salesforce (OneCRM)
• Create territory and adoption-level strategies to prioritize opportunities and enhance outcomes
• Stay informed about Pearson’s products, platforms, capabilities, and trends in the higher education market
• Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team culture by sharing insights and promoting continuous learning
• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable blend of education and relevant professional experience
• 1–2 years of experience in sales, customer-facing roles, or related fields; experience in higher education or educational technology is advantageous
• Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and fulfill commitments
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
• Genuine curiosity and a desire to learn consultative selling techniques and industry knowledge
• High degree of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and technological skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, virtual presentation tools, and related business applications, including generative AI
• Demonstrated capability to adapt, resolve issues, and support team success in a fast-paced environment
