High Voltage Technician III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Deliver both onsite and remote technical guidance to site personnel and clients.

• Develop job planning documents that outline the work scope through engineering instructions, drawings, and process instructions.

• Lead skilled labor performing tasks at customer locations.

• Diagnose and conduct routine maintenance checks on a variety of equipment, including power transformers, switchgear, protection relays, control systems, and motors.

• Identify and resolve electrical issues in substations at wind and solar facilities.

• Carry out administrative tasks such as drafting technical reports, ordering materials, obtaining quotations, and preparing job completion reports for customers.

• Demonstrate sound judgment in managing costs effectively.

• Uphold a strong safety mindset at all times.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED.

• Prior experience with High Voltage systems.

• Knowledge of testing equipment and procedures for transformers, relays, breakers, and underground splices.

• Familiarity with switching pad mount transformers and substations.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics.

• Skill in writing and interpreting switching orders.

• Required to mentor and train technicians who lack qualifications.

• Demonstrated experience in leading a field service team.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

• Willingness to travel.

• Flexibility is essential.

• Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SmartSheets.

• Basic Workplace First Aid certification.
