This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Deliver specific course content in a virtual setting.
• Create rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities.
• Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction based on student mastery levels.
• Enhance course materials with approved synchronous and asynchronous tools.
• Manage the grade book and maintain student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators about concerns related to student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for significant standardized tests.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate promptly and effectively with students and learning coaches/parents.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Travel as necessary for professional development, student testing, and school events.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active Oklahoma High School Science Teaching Certification.
• Valid state teaching license.
• Must reside in Oklahoma.
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• 0–1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Capability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours.
• Experience with the targeted age group is preferred.
• Familiarity with assisting adults and children with technology is a plus.
• Experience teaching in an online or traditional classroom setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of online learning platforms is beneficial.
• Ability to interpret and generate numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.
• Proficiency in utilizing student data to inform instructional decisions.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification/professional development hours.
• Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
• Primarily works from home.
