High School Principal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management of teachers and the overall operations of the high school.

• Facilitate the implementation of the Connections Academy curriculum along with school operation protocols.

• Ensure that teachers uphold professionalism, provide instructional support, and deliver excellent customer service.

• Aid individual student academic success and engage with parents regarding program details and student requirements.

• Execute and monitor the school improvement plan effectively.

• Achieve school outcomes in line with annual objectives, focusing on student academic performance.

• Assist teaching staff with program modifications and new software tools.

• Maintain communication with staff, students, and families.

• Engage in parent outreach initiatives through statewide informational sessions and virtual meetings.

• Address student issues escalated by parents and teachers.

• Support and coordinate state-mandated testing and student participation.

• Act as the hiring manager for elementary instructional roles.

• Provide assistance to families seeking additional support.

• Participate in student recruitment efforts, including in-state travel, presentations, Q&A sessions, and responding to press inquiries.

• Promote school community activities through in-person field trips and virtual events.

• Supervise and evaluate elementary and middle school staff as needed.

• Contribute to the establishment of best practices for distance education.

• Carry out other duties as assigned.

• Must reside within the state of Alabama.

• Possess Alabama Administrative certification.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience is required.

• A Master of Education degree is preferred.

• Experience in administrative or management roles within an educational setting.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Proven experience in managing personnel.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

• Proficiency with technology, particularly with the Internet and Microsoft Office applications.
