This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee instructional programs for high school physical science classes, including Earth and Space Science.
• Regularly consult with learning coaches and students via phone, Internet, and curriculum tools.
• Timely completion of grading, creation of progress reports, and conduct of parent conferences.
• Support instruction through asynchronous web conferencing and live instruction.
• Review curriculum and develop alternative approaches for lesson presentations.
• Create and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Evaluate assessments, provide constructive feedback, recommend instructional strategies, monitor assignments, and guide special projects.
• Collaborate with teachers to enhance student progress and coordinate responsibilities.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the K–12 curriculum and in-depth knowledge of assigned courses.
• Offer additional support with assignments and projects.
• Maintain consistent communication with parents, students, curriculum specialists, teachers, and staff learning specialists.
• Keep student records and data up to date, including cumulative files, online information, attendance, and contact logs.
• Create enrichment activities and modifications for student programs.
• Organize social activities and relevant student field trips.
• Manage regional field trips and incorporate them into the curriculum.
• Develop virtual methods to foster and sustain a school community.
• Engage in state testing organization and administration.
• Take part in student recruitment sessions and marketing initiatives.
• Coordinate with Advisory Teachers and the School Counselor regarding communications, progress, and objectives.
• Participate in field trips and community events.
• Execute other assigned duties as required.
• Secondary Science or Physical Science License is mandatory.
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Physical Science relevant to grade level and content area responsibilities.
• Strong technological proficiency, particularly with Microsoft OS and MS Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• High level of adaptability.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• History of being a collaborative team player.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events, which may include overnight travel.
• Capability to work remotely, if needed.
• Availability to work some evening hours when necessary to assist families.
