High School Instructor – Astrophysics, Quantum Mechanics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• We are currently inviting applications for the online teaching positions listed below: Instructors may be engaged for one or multiple weeks.

• The typical class size consists of 6 students.

• The curriculum is enhanced by computational simulations related to dark matter and galactic formation, along with physical demonstrations, student-led discussions, and thought experiments.

• Observational astronomy will be integrated into the course, utilizing solar and night sky telescopes, with an emphasis on techniques for identifying constellations and engaging in naked-eye astronomy.

• Students will undertake their final research based on a self-selected area of interest.

⛳️ Requirements

• Instructors typically include year-round science teachers, individuals pursuing graduate studies in science, or those with substantial teaching or mentoring experience in astrophysics.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience teaching astrophysics or possessing significant subject matter expertise is required.

• Experience in an academic setting with middle or high school students is preferred.

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory; preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree.

• The ability to engage with and clarify complex concepts for high school students is essential.

• A strong enthusiasm for science education is necessary.

• Candidates should exhibit a calm and professional demeanor.

• Self-motivation and the ability to follow through on tasks are crucial.

• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are required.
