High School Adjunct, Substitute Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as both short-term (on-call) and long-term substitute educators.

• Facilitate learning experiences aligned with Sora’s mission and vision.

• Offer formative and summative feedback to students.

• Oversee the virtual classroom to maintain a positive and consistent learning atmosphere.

• Organize house meetings as scheduled.

• Engage in faculty meetings as requested by school leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience at the secondary or postsecondary education level.

• Honors level experience in US History and World History.

• Honors level experience in either Philosophy, Economics, or Government, as well as Honors level experience in English Language Arts.

• Honors level experience ranging from Algebra I to Calculus.

• Honors level experience in two or more subjects including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Environmental Science.

• Preferred experience in coding or robotics.

• Familiarity with virtual learning environments.

• A strong passion for independent learning.

• Knowledge of various tech tools and platforms.

• Experience within a startup setting.
