This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Oversee and manage Allegiant Air’s heavy maintenance, modifications, aircraft induction tasks, and repairs carried out by external maintenance vendors (MRO).
• Relay aircraft status to AAY Maintenance Control, establish Estimated Time of Return (ETR), and provide updates. Facilitate aircraft movements.
• Assess workmanship and materials utilized during maintenance to ensure compliance with relevant Allegiant Air requirements, standards, and FAA regulations.
• Collaborate with various Allegiant Air departments to address issues impacting the timely delivery of aircraft.
• Administer daily reporting on service provider performance and ensure work meets contractual and budgetary specifications.
• Examine and evaluate provider invoices, recommending necessary adjustments or corrections.
• Grant financial approval for non-routine expenses and verify vendor invoicing costs for accuracy and budget compliance.
• Sign work records related to performed tasks when necessary and serve as a liaison between the vendor and AAY records department.
• Ensure that all heavy maintenance visits are conducted in line with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Allegiant Air policies & procedures, and manufacturer manuals.
• A combination of education and experience will be taken into account.
• Must possess authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
• Must successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification: Yes
• Certification Details: Airframe and Powerplant License.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in Part 121 or Part 135/transport category aircraft maintenance or as a Quality Inspector.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Heavy Maintenance of Part 121 heavy transport category aircraft or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of experience working on A320 type aircraft.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience working on 737MAX type aircraft.
• At least three (3) years of experience managing direct reports or working independently without direct supervision.
• Valid/Unexpired Passport Book: Yes.
• Valid/Unexpired Driver's License: Yes.
• Successful completion of A320 General Familiarization Course or Airbus A320 course.
• Successful completion of 737MAX General Familiarization Course or Boeing 737MAX course.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel 75% – 80% of the time.
• Must be able to obtain an airport SIDA badge.
• Basic computer proficiency and use of precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend all manuals and other documentation related to aircraft maintenance.
