This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Professionally handle and manage incoming calls from patients, providers, hospitals, referral sources, and insurance companies.
• Accurately direct calls to the appropriate departments or team members.
• Oversee and process incoming faxes on a daily basis.
• Review, organize, and forward referrals and clinical documents to the relevant staff.
• Submit and oversee insurance prior authorization requests.
• Follow up with insurance carriers to check on authorization status.
• Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and coverage.
• Coordinate patient visits and home health appointments.
• Assist with billing processes and manage invoices.
• Conduct and process patient intake documentation.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare administration, medical virtual assistance, home health, or a similar healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with patient intake, referrals, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows and clinical documentation.
• Clinical education or a background related to healthcare is strongly preferred.
• Experience in reviewing medical records and patient documentation.
• Ability to comprehend healthcare terminology and clinical information.
• Basic requirements:
• Must be proficient in speaking and writing English clearly.
• Must possess relevant work experience.
• Ability to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check prior to onboarding [mandatory].
• Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when required).
