This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Assist in the management of commercial electrical projects from the transition from preconstruction to final completion.
• Support Project Managers with project initiation, scheduling, procurement, cost management, and status updates.
• Prepare, distribute, and monitor RFIs, submittals, change orders, transmittals, and documentation for project closure.
• Analyze electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents for scope and coordination necessities.
• Collaborate with electricians, foremen, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and internal teams.
• Track procurement of equipment and materials, delivery timelines, long-lead items, and requirements for field installation.
• Oversee project milestones, progress in the field, updates on manpower, and outstanding action items.
• Engage in project meetings, site visits, and coordination discussions.
• Maintain precise project logs, document management, meeting minutes, and reporting within internal systems.
• Assist with billing documentation, forecasting updates, tracking committed costs, and change orders.
• Collaborate with BIM/VDC and field leadership to identify drawing discrepancies and facilitate feasible solutions.
• Aid in resolving scheduling conflicts, information gaps, procurement challenges, and field coordination issues.
• Manage multiple ongoing projects while ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely execution.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction, electrical construction, or project engineering settings.
• Previous experience with an electrical contractor, general contractor, or specialized subcontractor is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial construction procedures, project documentation processes, and field coordination.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Familiarity with construction software such as Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk, Microsoft Project, or similar tools is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
• Must be comfortable supporting active field operations and engaging with superintendents, foremen, and project teams.
• Experience in commercial construction is mandatory; residential-only experience will not be considered.
