Healthcare Medical Transcription, Cantonese – English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Accurately transcribe healthcare audio recordings in Cantonese-English.

• Break down audio into natural speech segments.

• Recognize and label different speakers in recordings with multiple voices.

• Include basic annotations such as gender, age group, and emotional tone.

• If assigned, assess and confirm transcription quality through Quality Control (QC) tasks.

• Adhere to project guidelines to ensure high-quality results.

• Reach out to the Project Manager for any necessary clarifications.

• Finish assigned tasks within the designated project timeline.

• Project Details

• - Duration: 2 months

• - Project Period: July 20 – September 2026

• - Time commitment: At least 4 hours per day (including weekends if required)

• - Daily target: Minimum of 3 tasks per day

• - Onboarding Training: Mandatory (TBD, during office hours 9am-6pm GMT+8)

• - Working hours: Flexible (tasks may be completed at any time before the project deadline)

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in spoken Cantonese and capable of writing in Traditional Chinese.

• Preferably familiar with the Hong Kong Cantonese accent.

• Candidates located in Hong Kong are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Applicants from other locations are welcome if they can confidently understand and transcribe Hong Kong Cantonese.

• Knowledge of healthcare terminology used in hospitals or clinical settings.

• Comfortable with conversations that naturally switch between Cantonese and English, including English medical terms.

• Fluent in English to understand project guidelines and communicate effectively.

• Familiar with using a Cantonese Jyutping keyboard.

• Strong listening and comprehension skills across diverse speakers, accents, and background noise.

• Detail-oriented, maintaining at least 95% transcription accuracy.

• Ability to communicate effectively with the project manager.

• Must have access to a laptop or desktop computer, headset, and a stable internet connection.

• Bonus point: Previous experience in medical transcription, audio annotation, data labeling, linguistics, healthcare-related language work, or AI-related projects.
