This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take charge of the HLS practice's P&L: managing bookings, revenue, and margin, starting from scratch to developing a robust practice.
β’ Initiate and finalize consulting projects with HLS clients across pharmaceuticals, payers, providers, and medical devices, carrying the personal sales target in the first year.
β’ Establish the Databricks co-selling strategy: cultivate relationships with HLS field engineering and account teams, engage in joint pursuits, and achieve flagship wins that solidify the partnership.
β’ Define and create the offering portfolio: develop two to three repeatable HLS services (such as RWD/RWE platforms, claims and payer analytics, commercial data products, and AI solutions compliant with HIPAA and GxP) within the first year.
β’ Oversee the delivery of initial engagements; ensure quality and client success until the practice can operate independently.
β’ Develop HLS domain intellectual property: create accelerators, reference architectures, and AI patterns that comply with regulations (HIPAA, GxP, model risk), ensuring Climb's delivery is both repeatable and defensible.
β’ Recruit and nurture the founding HLS team: senior practitioners who meet the standards you establish.
β’ Represent Climb in the HLS market: showcase thought leadership, participate in industry events, and leverage the executive network to enhance the sales funnel.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in data, analytics, or AI, including recent commercial consulting roles in healthcare and life sciences: you have successfully sold and delivered consulting services to HLS clients: pharma, payer, provider, or med device.
β’ A revenue or bookings figure that you have personally managed and can discuss (whether at the practice, portfolio, or personal level) along with a proven record of achieving it.
β’ Experience in practice development: you have launched services, recruited consultants, and managed margins, whether at a boutique data/AI firm, within a Big 4 or Tier 2 HLS analytics practice, or as part of a platform vendorβs HLS field organization.
β’ Extensive knowledge of HLS data and the contextual landscape: familiarity with claims, EHR, real-world data, commercial datasets, and the regulatory framework (HIPAA, GxP) that governs them.
β’ Technical credibility regarding modern data and AI platforms: you can engage in architectural discussions and discern genuine solutions.
β’ Strong executive presence with HLS stakeholders: chief data, digital, and medical officers, as well as the commercial and clinical leaders managing AI budgets.
β’ Competitive base salary with performance-related bonuses and significant equity reflective of practice ownership.
β’ MacBook Pro and swag kit to ensure you can perform at your best.
β’ Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
β’ Generous holiday leave, flexible PTO, and a remote-first work environment.
β’ Professional development funding, including Databricks and cloud certification opportunities.
β’ Spot bonuses awarded for relevant certifications.
β’ Opportunities for conference attendance and to engage in thought leadership.
β’ A collaborative, low-ego culture with direct access to leadership.
β’ The chance to influence the development of a growing practice from the ground up.
