Healthcare Intake Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee a systematic outbound referral queue, reaching out to potential program participants consistently, warmly, and professionally.

• Assist patients with clear, straightforward explanations of program advantages. Complete and document standardized clinical intake questionnaires in real-time.

• Establish quick rapport with older adults who may be hesitant, confused, or reluctant, using empathy and effective communication to address barriers to care.

• Rigorously adhere to compliance protocols to secure necessary verbal consents individually and sequentially before advancing to scheduling.

• Organize and arrange the patient's initial clinical appointment immediately upon successful intake.

• Record all outcomes, clinical metrics, and patient information across various digital health platforms simultaneously during the call.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Alberta, Canada, and legally entitled to work without sponsorship.

• A minimum of 1 year of patient-facing healthcare experience (e.g., medical clinic front office, patient registration, care coordination, enrollment, or telehealth intake) where medical terminology and clinical data collection were daily tasks.

• At least 1 year of experience in sales/internal sales/program enrollment/conversion.

• Demonstrated experience in high-volume outbound phone settings (such as clinical outreach, patient scheduling lines, or health services engagement) with a proven history of promoting patient follow-through.

• Highly proficient in navigating multiple software systems and electronic health records (EHRs) concurrently while maintaining a live, empathetic conversation.

• You have a "builder" mentality—you are comfortable with uncertainty, enjoy creating order from chaos, and easily adapt to changing processes.

• Previous remote work experience is strongly preferred.
