This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee daily accounting functions, including the maintenance of the general ledger and reconciliations.
• Supervise bookkeeping activities to ensure precise financial recordkeeping.
• Manage and process payroll efficiently.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and managing cash flow.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Monitor revenue recognition and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Aid in the month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Support audit preparations and tax documentation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and best practices in healthcare accounting.
• Collaborate closely with the Revenue Cycle Management Director to facilitate billing, collections, reimbursement reporting, and financial analysis.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial processes and operational efficiency.
• Provide assistance to leadership with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis as required.
• A background in healthcare accounting is essential.
• Experience in behavioral health accounting is highly preferred.
• A CPA designation is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and general accounting functions is necessary.
• A solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle concepts is highly desirable.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required.
• Capability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where responsibilities may change over time.
