This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• As a part of the Health Systems Director team, individuals in this role are tasked with developing sales and access strategies that support SOBI Rare Disease products and achieving set objectives for both the region and designated institutions, hospitals, and health systems.
• The Health Systems Director (HSD) will be responsible for collaborating across functions to facilitate patient access to therapy in hospitals and other care environments, in accordance with the product label.
• This role entails effective management and coordination of SOBI's supporting teams to engage health system stakeholders, including C-Suite leaders, Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees, Pharmacy Directors, and external specialists.
• Health Systems Directors must coordinate their account-based initiatives alongside efforts from Market Access, Patient Services, and medical teams who are involved with the same accounts.
• Strong clinical knowledge is crucial for this position. The HSD is accountable for conveying on-label scientific information that is applicable in real-world settings.
• The HSD will cultivate robust relationships with key decision-makers within their accounts and will equip customers with product and disease-related information that aids in the development and implementation of protocols for optimal patient care.
• The Health Systems Director will play a pivotal role in fostering and directing advocacy to support patient protocols that align with the comprehensive parameters of the label.
• The HSD will be responsible for meeting assigned objectives and successfully navigating SOBI products through the key influential pathways in the designated systems, including C and D suite stakeholders.
• The HSD will create and implement account plans that align with national and regional strategies.
• A bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific/medical or business field, or relevant experience is mandatory.
• A minimum of 8-12 years of successful field sales experience is required, including at least 3-5 years of complex institutional experience in the Rare Disease, Specialty Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Medical Device sectors.
• Experience with the intricate dynamics of biologic distribution and acquisition at the inpatient level is highly preferred.
• Proven expertise in successfully navigating Health System formulary pathways and the complex landscape of access and reimbursement.
• Exceptional Account and Stakeholder Management experience is essential; strong organizational and leadership skills are needed to coordinate internal and external stakeholders, alongside robust customer management abilities.
• Strong clinical knowledge with demonstrated experience in dealing with complex diseases, preferably rare diseases.
• Proven track record of success with medical benefit products being added to hospital formularies.
• Previous experience collaborating with Pediatric and Adult Rheumatology and/or Hematology/Oncology physicians is advantageous.
