This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Deliver personalized support by managing all aspects of the death process and serving as the primary contact upon the reporting of a death.
• Provide education and function as a reliable partner throughout the entire death process.
• Determine the most effective communication methods during the death process.
• Identify and clarify the benefits that are available.
• Set clear expectations regarding the information required to process death claims through various vendors.
• Coordinate the collection of information necessary for filing claims and enrolling in applicable benefits.
• Ensure that benefits are distributed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Offer guidance when additional information is required for claims processing.
• Work collaboratively with vendors as necessary.
• Record research, email, and phone communications in the case management system.
• Facilitate connections with vendors through warm transfers or by providing contact information.
• Comply with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Exceptional customer service and resolution skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the capacity to reorganize priorities as business needs evolve.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• A minimum of one year of experience in BenAdministration is required.
• Basic understanding of industry terminology.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Capability to navigate various technical environments using different hardware and software platforms, including the Windows operating system.
• High school diploma is required.
• Two years of relevant experience in telephonic customer service.
• Must possess work authorization in the United States that does not currently or will not in the future require visa sponsorship.
