This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Complete grading tasks, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences punctually;
• Assist the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing sessions and live instruction;
• Evaluate curriculum and create alternative methods for lesson delivery to enhance student comprehension (working directly with students and parents);
• Regularly communicate with parents, students, and fellow teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, assess scores, provide feedback on student assignments, recommend instructional strategies, monitor assignment completion, and coach on special projects;
• Collaborate with other educators to ensure all students are progressing successfully through the program, that parents have a central point of contact, and that responsibilities are shared among teachers;
• Acquire a broad understanding of the entire K-12 curriculum and a detailed knowledge of the specific courses for which you are responsible;
• Offer support to students and parents with alternative strategies and additional help for daily assignments and projects;
• Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and curriculum specialists via computer and telephone;
• Keep student records and data current, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance records, and logs of all student and parent interactions;
• Collaborate with other educators and learning specialists to create alternative enrichment activities and modifications to students’ programs to enhance understanding;
• Coordinate social activities and relevant field trips with other teachers for students;
• Oversee regional field trips and strive to integrate them into the curriculum;
• Develop and implement virtual methods to create and sustain a “school community”;
• Engage in the organization and administration of State Testing as directed;
• Participate in student recruitment sessions and other marketing initiatives requiring teacher representation;
• Collaborate with Advisory Teachers and School counselors to ensure appropriate communications for students and families, monitor student progress, and ensure established goals are achieved;
• Attend field trips and community activities organized for families;
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A Physical Education/Health License is preferred.
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Physical Education/Health in Minnesota, appropriate to grade level and content area responsibilities.
• Strong technology proficiency, particularly with Microsoft OS and MS Office applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• A track record of being a team player.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events (may involve occasional overnight travel).
• Capability to work remotely, if necessary.
• Availability to work some evening hours, as needed to support families.
