This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to members and providers for scheduling healthcare appointments, screenings, vaccinations, and medication refills.
• Navigate obstacles that hinder members from achieving optimal health.
• Provide a professional and compassionate experience for members.
• Inform members to facilitate informed health choices and enhance health outcomes.
• Clarify benefits associated with screenings, medications, activities, and follow-up care.
• Support members in managing appointments, medication refills, and access to health services.
• Document conversations accurately in members’ health records.
• Address inquiries, resolve problems, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Achieve business performance metrics and goals.
• Complete four weeks of virtual training, which may require a temporary shift change.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Excellent communication skills in a professional context.
• Strong active listening abilities and interpersonal skills.
• High level of computer literacy, including troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proficient in Windows, web-based applications, and digital communication tools.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 50 Mbps.
• A suitable workspace for remote work.
• Hard-wired computer connection; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not acceptable.
• Candidates must reside in KY, LA, VA, or IL.
• Availability to work one of the following shifts: 9a–5:30p, 10a–6:30p, 11a–7:30p, 12p–8:30p, or 1p–9:30p.
• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
• Experience with HEDIS screening measures is preferred.
• Background in behavior change is preferred.
• Experience in mental health is preferred.
• Community health experience is preferred.
• Over 1 year of experience with production expectations or high-volume calls is heavily preferred.
• More than 2 years of experience in a call center or outreach role involving members or consumers.
• At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Medical certifications such as certified nursing assistant or medical assistant are preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously, apply critical thinking, multitask, prioritize tasks, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and maintain a professional demeanor.
